    Description

    These are the first two volumes of "The Oxford War Atlas."  The first one covers the first two years of World War Two - Sept. 1939 - Sept. 1941.  The second volume covers the period from Sept., 1941 to Jan. 1943.  Both are written by Jasper H. Stembridge and published by the Oxford University Press.  Volume I has a soft cover and has many maps and diagrams showing the progression of the war and its battles.  It is not paginated.  Volume II is also profusely illustrated with maps and and battles.  Both volumes show some wear.  Vol. I has a short tear at the top of the binding, a couple of bent corners on the pages, a stamp on the flyleaf and an owner's name in pencil on the inside of the back cover.  It is 7" by 4 & 3/4".  Vol. II is hardcover and has wear to the edges of the spine, a stamp and some penciled notations on the flyleaf.  Both are complete.
