    The Author;
    The author, Robert H Steinke, served his apprenticeship in Rural Saddlery with Keith Luxford of Teddington, saddlers to H.M. The Queen and at Cordwainers Leather Collage, London before setting up his own business in 1971.
    Specialising in bespoke saddlery, he exhibited at numerous shows in England, Wales, Ireland, France & at the Design Centre in London.
    He has written 9 books & contributed to several equestrian magazines.
    He has also been a horse owned & competitor for over 50 years.
    In 2007 he opened the Museum of The Master Saddler & has since retired to concentrate on writing.
